Scrutineering is located at Harris Park which is on your right of the roundabout as you enter Mount Panorama.
Once scrutineered, entrants that are towing their entered vehicle must go straight to the trailer parking area and unload their vehicle before heading to the event area, event office or campground office.
Before entering the event venue, you MUST head to the Autofest office where you will check-in and receive any of your pre-purchased passes and/or merchandise, etc.
No trailers (unless pre authorised by management) are permitted in the event area.
Entrants who are not taking part in any of the driving events but are towing their entered vehicle must also obey the above.
Please note: Those wanting to participate in the Sunday Parade Laps but are not entered into any of the driving events (for example: Show n Shine only) do not need to be scrutineered. See further information below.
At Scrutineering you and your vehicle will be checked in. Your vehicle will undergo a quick inspection and you will be issued with your vehicles official entrant windscreen sticker along with your official pass for the driver and any merchandise that you have pre-purchased.
SHOW N SHINE ENTRANT CHECK-IN (no driving events)
On your arrival at Mount Panorama, please enter the event via the Conrod Straight gate. If towing please head to the trailer area to unload your vehicle before making your way into the Autofest Office where you will be issued with your vehicles official entrant windscreen sticker, along with your official pass for the driver and any buddy passes or merchandise that you have pre-purchased.
TOW VEHICLES
Entrants towing their vehicle to the Event can get a Tow sticker (free of charge) from Scrutineering. The Tow vehicle must stay in the Tow/Trailer Parking area (or on your campsite) for the duration of the Event and is not allowed within the Event area.
SUPPORT VEHICLES
Entrants wanting a Support vehicle within the Event area to change tyres, for tools, etc. can purchase a Support Vehicle pass for $100. The Support vehicle can enter and exit to assist the entered vehicle within the Event area over the duration of the Event.
BUDDY (PASSENGER) PASSES
For those that have pre-purchased buddy passes, these will be available for collection at the Event Office. Your passengers must be present as they will be required to sign a Passenger Disclaimer Form.
If you would like to purchase buddy passes on the day, you can do so during Scrutineering by seeing the crew at the main office counter.
Please note: buddy passes include entry into the event so you do not need to purchase public admission tickets in addition to the buddy pass.

AUTOFEST DRIVING EVENTS
Important Note
Any entrants with no rear brakes fitted CANNOT participate in the following events:
- Go to Whoa
- Super Sprints
- Top 32 Shootout
- Super Sunday Buy-In
The only Pit Straight event these vehicles can participate in is the Super Skids. Please ensure your vehicle meets the necessary safety requirements for your chosen events.
Autokana - Entrants line up to test their braking and handling skills of their vehicles with manoeuvres in forward and reverse and both left and right. This is a true test on one's ability to get things right or go down in a blaze of glory.
Go to Whoa - is another winner of side by side action with all that participate with entrants showing all the Go they can muster and in just 140 metres throwing out all the Anchors trying to tame their monster to pull up before they cross the dreaded finish line.
Super Sprints – IMPORTANT – ALL COMPETITORS MUST READ THE FOLLOWING –
The Super Sprints racing component of the event will be a competition between 2 cars starting side-by-side and in a straight line over approximately 160 metres. Tests may be conducted in parallel with another vehicle, however the winner will be the driver with the quickest time. Timing and lights will be used similar to the Go To Whoa competition.
Important note: No warming of tyres is allowed and the competition will commence with a rolling start. There will be two points of importance (these will be marked with bollards) that drivers will need to be aware of, the first line (staging point) is to be 12 metres from the starting point and the second point (starting point) is at the start line where you will receive a green light.
Competitors must not exceed 40KPH or allow the car to LOOSE TRACTION between these two points.
Once the event marshals are ready, you will be then motioned to begin rolling towards the Starting Point at no more than 40KPH, the Christmas Tree/Traffic lights will go to Green when the front cars hit this line, remember again NO LOSS OF TRACTION BETWEEN THESE TWO POINTS, once past the start point drivers will be timed until the finish point. If any car goes before the Green light is given then they will be disqualified immediately. After the race, the competitors are welcome to either return to the staging lanes for another run or return to the pit apron. Winners will be determined by fasted elapsed times over the course and there will be awards in each class at presentations.
Competitors within this event must slow to 15KPH after the Finishing Point or FACE ELIMINATION FROM THE EVENT!
TYRES - Any diameter size is allowed but rear tyres must NOT exceed a maximum of 275 width and have the words radial on the tyre and the words DOT Approved to signify its construction.
Grab A Flag - was designed on the traditional Spear A Spud competition that brings the passengers into the equation but instead of trying to spear those messy potatoes, we now just grab a nice new flag that is velcroed to a pole at each garage during the course.
Burnouts - The Burnout Competition is a highlight of the Autofest Events. With 120 Entrants fiercely competing for the bragging rights to be crowned Burnout King or Queen. Surrounded by thousands of cheering spectators, these chosen few go into battle in a high octane of high revving engines, shredding tyres and some may even catch alight on their way to glory or despair. This is car carnage at its best.
PLEASE NOTE: any Entrant who is not participating in a particular driving event appropriately will be subject to elimination. For instance, if you engage in burnouts during the Autokana driving event, you will be disqualified. It is important to respect the seriousness and dedication of the participants who are competing, so kindly refrain from disrupting their time with any inappropriate behaviour.
